Ingredients

  • 10 oz groun pork sausage
  • 2 burger buns
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 3 oz poblano peppers
  • 3 oz shishito peppers
  • 2 oz shredded cheese of choice
  • 1/3 cup crispy fried onions

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400.
  2. Dice the poblano peppers and combine peppers, sausage, and breadcrumbs in a large bowl.
  3. Create two 1/2 inch thick patties out of the sausage mixture and place on one half of a cookie sheet.
  4. On the other side of the tray, add shishito peppers and drizzle with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
  5. Bake for 15 minutes, flip, and cover with shredded cheese.
  6. Wrap buns in foil and place into the over.
  7. Bake patties and buns for 5-7 minutes until fully cooked.
  8. Assemble burgers, top with crispy onions, and serve with peppers as side.
